Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

EmptyMesh

A mesh had no usable triangles.

Distance to nothing is undefined; returning infinity would let a caller read an empty mesh as “very far away” rather than “no input”.

IndexOutOfRange

A triangle referenced a position the mesh does not have.

InvalidThreshold

The threshold was negative or not finite.

Primitive(ProximityError)

A primitive query rejected its input.
