Struct Aabb2

Source
pub struct Aabb2 {
    pub min: Point2,
    pub max: Point2,
}
Expand description

Axis-aligned two-dimensional bounding box.

The XY-plane counterpart of Aabb, with the same empty-absorbs-first behaviour so a fold over points needs no special case for the first one.

Fields§

§min: Point2

Minimum corner.

§max: Point2

Maximum corner.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Aabb2

Source

pub const fn empty() -> Self

An empty box that absorbs the first extended point.

Inverted on purpose: min starts at positive infinity and max at negative infinity, so the first extend overwrites both rather than leaving a spurious box around the origin.

Source

pub const fn from_point(point: Point2) -> Self

Construct a non-empty box containing exactly one point.

Source

pub fn extend(&mut self, point: Point2)

Grow to include a point.

Source

pub fn union(&mut self, other: &Self)

Grow to include every point in another box.

Source

pub fn is_finite(&self) -> bool

Whether both corners are finite coordinates.

Source

pub fn intersects(&self, other: &Self) -> bool

Whether the boxes overlap. Touching counts as overlap.

Source

pub fn contains(&self, point: Point2) -> bool

Whether the box contains a point. The boundary counts as inside.

Source

pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool

Whether no point has been added.

Source

pub fn diagonal(&self) -> Vec2

Diagonal vector, or zero for an empty box.

Source

pub fn center(&self) -> Point2

Centre point, or zero for an empty box.

Source

pub fn area(&self) -> Scalar

Enclosed area, or zero for an empty box.
