Enum ExactError

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum ExactError { NonFinite, DegenerateLine, NegativeRadius, DifferentLines, Undefined, TooDeep, DegenerateConic, }
Expand description

Why an exact computation was refused.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

NonFinite

An input was NaN or infinite. Exact values exist only for finite numbers.

§

DegenerateLine

A line’s two defining points coincide, so it has no direction.

§

NegativeRadius

A circle’s radius was negative.

§

DifferentLines

Two parameters were compared along different lines, where parameters mean different things.

§

Undefined

The expression has no real value in exact arithmetic (for example a square root of a negative number). A construction that validated its inputs never reports this.

§

TooDeep

More nested square roots than crate::tower::MAX_DEPTH: cost grows exponentially with depth, so the tower refuses rather than run unboundedly.

§

DegenerateConic

A conic whose quadratic part is identically zero (it is a line), or a conic pair no admissible shear could separate.
