Struct Tolerance

Source
pub struct Tolerance { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Coordinate vocabulary, re-exported from axiolid-core.

These are the same types, not copies: a consumer of the narrow linear closure should not need a second dependency to name a point. Linear and angular tolerance carried with an operation.

There is deliberately no Default implementation: a useful tolerance is a property of the source unit scale and requested accuracy, not the crate.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Tolerance

Source

pub const ZERO: Tolerance

Exact-coordinate policy. Use only when the caller intentionally wants no scale-derived tolerance, such as compatibility validation of an existing source model.

Source

pub const METRE: Tolerance

One micrometre linear and one nanoradian angular tolerance when geometry has already been normalized to metres.

Source

pub const MILLIMETRE: Tolerance

One micrometre linear and one nanoradian angular tolerance while values are still expressed in millimetres.

Source

pub fn new(linear: f64, angular: f64) -> Result<Tolerance, ToleranceError>

Construct a validated policy.

Source

pub const fn linear(self) -> f64

Absolute distance tolerance in the model’s current length unit.

Source

pub const fn angular(self) -> f64

Absolute angular tolerance in radians.

Source

pub fn eq(self, a: f64, b: f64) -> bool

Compare two scalar values using the linear component.

impl PartialEq for Tolerance

Source§

fn eq(&self, other: &Tolerance) -> bool

1.0.0 · Source§

fn ne(&self, other: &Rhs) -> bool

Tests for !=. The default implementation is almost always sufficient, and should not be overridden without very good reason.
