Enum SegmentSegmentIntersection2

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum SegmentSegmentIntersection2 { Disjoint, Point { point: Point2, left_parameter: Scalar, right_parameter: Scalar, }, Overlap { left_interval: Interval, right_interval: Interval, }, }
Expand description

How two bounded planar segments relate.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Disjoint

The segments share no point.

§

Point

The segments meet at exactly one point.

Parameters are normalised to [0, 1] along each segment, so an endpoint contact is visible as a parameter of exactly 0.0 or 1.0.

Fields

§point: Point2

The shared point.

§left_parameter: Scalar

Normalised parameter on the left segment.

§right_parameter: Scalar

Normalised parameter on the right segment.

§

Overlap

The segments are collinear and share a positive-length span.

Fields

§left_interval: Interval

Shared span in the left segment’s normalised parameter.

§right_interval: Interval

Shared span in the right segment’s normalised parameter.
